Save Our Rural Oregon, a nonprofit, public benefit corporation, (the “Corporation” or SORO) is organized to engage in any activity which may lawfully be conducted by a corporation under the Oregon Nonprofit Corporation Act (the “Act”) and its primary purpose shall be to maintain the historical usage of Southern Oregon and Klamath county resources (farmlands and natural environments) to enhance their scenic beauty, rural atmosphere including wildlife habitats, wetlands, migratory bird flyways, and agricultural lands. Its secondary purpose is to build up and improve the image, livability, air quality, water quality and water usage and the economy of Klamath County and its rural environment in an environmentally responsible manner for the enjoyment of Klamath residents and to attract new people and small businesses. The purpose and activities of our Corporation shall be limited to those specified in IRC Section 501(c)(3) in that said Corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, religious and educational purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations under Section 501(c)(3).
